Birding at Tijuca National Park

On May 31, despite the bad weather, there was another guided tour in the Tijuca National Park. The rain only fell at the end of the morning, so Rio de Janeiro clients Fernando Martínez, Marcelo Lyra, Hodenise Mello and her son Diogo were able to enjoy the birding.

The juçara palm trees are already loaded with fruits, so there were plenty of Yellow-legged Thrushes (Turdus flavipes) and White-necked Thrushes (Turdus albicollis) present. There were also great opportunities to photograph the Red-necked Tanager (Tangara cyanocephala) and the Chestnut-bellied Euphonia (Euphonia pectoralis).

I thank my friends for their trust in my work, and until the next birding!
