Bosque da Barra, Marapendi and Chico Mendes are the three main municipal parks in the lowlands of Barra da Tijuca and Recreio dos Bandeirantes region, composed mainly by restinga and wetlands environments. Their opening time varies from 6am to 8am and close by 17pm. Entrance is free.

 

Main targets: Lemon-chested Greenlet, Yellow-eared Woodpecker, Black-backed Tanager, Rufous-sided Crake, Long-billed Wren, Sooretama Slaty-Antshrike.
