Continuing with my proposal to also guide outside the limits of the state of Rio de Janeiro, between November 29th and December 1st, 2024, I led a birdwatching and photography tour in Ubatuba-SP with clients and friends Marcello Coimbra, Cláudio Martins and Henrique Moutinho, from the city of Rio de Janeiro.
We were very well received as always by Aline and Marcos, partners at Ninho do Cambacica. We also visited Sítio Folha Seca and Casa da Farinha, in the Serra do Mar State Park. The weather and the birds helped a lot and the friends managed to photograph several new species for their lifelists.
Among the highlights I include the Frilled Coquette (Lophornis magnificus), Festive Coquette (Lophornis chalybeus), Green Honeycreeper (Chlorophanes spiza) and the Yellow-fronted Woodpecker (Melanerpes flavifrons), usual birds at local feeders.
I would like to thank my friends for their trust in my work and to Aline and Marcos from Ninho da Cambacica for their partnership, hoping to return soon. And wait for new itineraries outside of Rio de Janeiro by Serpa Birdwatching.
